I am not inactive ;) — SI GUI v5

Hi,

Today I released v5 of SI-GUI. It adds support for 64-bit Windows builds (watch out, they are extreamly rare😉 )

BTW: SI-GUI won’t get new features any more. I keep it to bugfixing as… well… It basically was my first program and it looks like that😉. If I had time I would really like to look into a Java version of SI-GUI…. But apparently no time…. Or not enough😉

If it is really wanted I could invest some time in late Septemebr / October.

Anyone interested on a redesigned SI-GUI or are you ok with this one?

  1. Really thanks Florian.

I think you’ll keep an eye on it, the first it’s never easy to forget, you can be proud.🙂

Forgive me, I’m always asking for something, a little improve for to do when you have no time😉, in the install directory a drop down with directories in the manager list.

  2. Thanks for your work, Florian!

Admittedly I am not a user of SI-GUI, but if you are considering rewriting it, it might be good to have it work on multiple platforms (Java might help there indeed.)

    1. Hi,

I know it could work on Linux, have no idea on the Mac indeed.
      Downside:
      – No automatic update
      Upside:
-I am better in java than I am in C#

If barely noone is interested, I keep the support of the C# version. If there is enough interest in a Java version, I am willing to invest some time😉
